General objective is to foster the digital transformation of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Western Balkans through the responsible and inclusive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — enhancing learning experiences, improving educational governance, and aligning education with labor market needs.

  • Develop and implement AI-driven adaptive learning systems that tailor educational content to individual student needs, pace, and learning styles.

  • Introduce AI-powered virtual assistants and chatbots to support students, particularly those in remote or underserved areas.

  • Pilot AI-based assessment and feedback tools to increase student engagement and academic performance.

  • Integrate AI automation tools for grading, attendance tracking, and academic planning to reduce administrative workload.

  • Establish a data-driven decision-making framework for HEIs, providing real-time analytics on student performance, dropout rates, and institutional outcomes.

  • Create and implement AI ethics guidelines and teacher training modules to ensure transparent, fair, and responsible AI use.

  • Assess the digital readiness and AI adoption barriers of HEIs through surveys, workshops, and benchmarking with EU institutions.

  • Strengthen institutional governance and digital infrastructure to support sustainable AI integration.

  • Develop professional development programs to enhance digital and pedagogical competencies among academic and administrative staff.

  • Align AI-based educational strategies with national and EU higher education policies through collaboration with governments and accreditation bodies.

  • Institutionalize AI-powered education through continuous teacher training and policy support.

  • Develop an open-source framework to enable other regional HEIs to replicate and adapt successful AI models, ensuring long-term sustainability and scalability.

Na Internacionalnom univerzitetu Travnik (IUT), koji je i koordinator projekta, 25. i 26. marta održan je kick-off sastanak međunarodnog projekta RELIABLE – Revolutionizing Education and Learning through Intelligent AI-Based Learning Enhancement, finansiranog u okviru Erasmus+ programa (CBHE Strand 1).

Projekat RELIABLE ima za cilj istraživanje i implementaciju inovativnih rješenja zasnovanih na umjetnoj inteligenciji s ciljem unapređenja obrazovnog procesa. Poseban fokus projekta je na razvoju inteligentnih sistema koji omogućavaju personalizovano učenje, prilagođavanje nastavnih sadržaja individualnim potrebama studenata, kao i primjenu AI alata koji podržavaju proces učenja i rješavanja problema.

Jedan od važnih aspekata projekta jeste i smanjenje administrativnog opterećenja nastavnog osoblja kroz automatizaciju određenih procesa, čime se profesorima i nastavnicima omogućava veći fokus na kvalitet nastave i interakciju sa studentima.

Sastanku su prisustvovali i predstavnici Fakulteta za menadžment Herceg Novi, kao jednog od članova konzorcijuma.

U projektu učestvuje ukupno sedam univerziteta, a pored Internacionalnog univerziteta Travnik kao koordinatora, partneri su i Instituto Politécnico do Porto, Portugal, Universidad de Vigo, Španija, Fachhochschule des Mittelstandes (FHM) GmbH, Njemačka, Univerzitet Mediteran Podgorica, Fakultet za menadžment Herceg Novi i Banja Luka College.

Tokom kick-off sastanka partneri su predstavili institucije, definisali projektne ciljeve, radne pakete i plan implementacije aktivnosti, čime je zvanično započeta realizacija projekta koji ima za cilj unapređenje kvaliteta i efikasnosti obrazovanja kroz integraciju savremenih AI tehnologija.
