Students of the Confucius Classroom of the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi won the main prize in the university category at the preliminary competition of Montenegro in the Chinese language "Chinese Bridge 2023".
On May 24, 2023, in the afternoon, four students of the Confucius Classroom of the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi attended the 2023 Chinese language competition "Chinese Bridge", the preliminary competition of Montenegro, organized by the Confucius Institute of the University of Montenegro. The competition was divided into three levels: primary, secondary and university, with a total of 16 participants from different regions of Montenegro.
Through Chinese language speeches, knowledge quizzes and talent shows, the contestants demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of the Chinese language and culture. Competitors from the Confucius Classroom of the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi amazed the judges and the audience with their performances of Chinese paper cutting, calligraphy, tea art and singing Chinese songs.
After a great competition, three students of the Confucius Classroom of the Faculty of Management in Herceg Novi, Ana Rajak, Tamara Narandžić and Ana Marković, won the first, second and third prizes in the university category. Teodora Žukić received an award for excellence in the basic category.
After the competition, Ambassador Fan Kun from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Montenegro, Fu Hongyuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Changsha University of Science and Technology, Ms. Milena Lipovina-Božović, Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro and Ms. Gao Ćinglong, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Montenegro, presented certificates and awards to the winners.
The "Chinese Bridge" competition is of great importance, as it not only allows participants to practice and demonstrate their knowledge of the Chinese language, but also deepens their understanding of Chinese culture. At the same time, by observing the competition, it causes more enthusiasm and motivation among students to learn Chinese. We believe that in the near future, an increasing number of students will participate in such competitions and show their talent and passion through platforms like "Chinese Bridge".
