Within the ongoing Erasmus+ project "Greening Relevance in Operations in the Western Balkans Tertiary Education Habitats - GROWTH" , in which FMHN is one of the partners, a HACKATHON is being organized on the topic of green transitions towards energy-sustainable and climate-neutral university campuses.

Modern university campuses adopt green technologies to conserve and reduce electricity consumption (solar, photovoltaic farms, heat pumps, green roofs, green facades, waste sorting and recycling, wind generators, water tanks, etc.). The top 10 greenest university campuses in Europe include: University of Bremen, University of Bologna, University of Nottingham and University of Groningen.

The hackathon will be organized in cooperation with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Technopolis, and students can attend short-term workshops on a virtual reality device and a 3D scanner. As part of the mentioned event, students can participate in a model-making competition for the best model of a green university campus.

The number of students for the hackathon is limited to 15, and it is preferable that the students participating in the competition are students taking the Sustainable Development course in the second year of undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Management.

The hackathon will last for two days, May 23 and 24, 2024. starting at 10 a.m.
