As part of the ERASMUS+ HAWKING project, representatives of the Herceg Novi Faculty of Management participated in a meeting held in Cyprus from March 4 to 6. This meeting brought together partners from different countries, and the focus was on innovative approaches in education, especially in the context of students with disabilities. As one of the partners of the project, we had the opportunity to get acquainted with the way of work of the University of Nicosia, which during the meeting presented its advanced technologies and methods used in the education of students with different types of disabilities.

The University of Nicosia has demonstrated the ways in which technology can play a key role in enabling equal access to learning for students with special needs. Their approach to education is truly inspiring, as it focuses on providing support to students through digital solutions that facilitate their daily educational process. The use of these technologies allows students with different needs, whether physical or cognitive, to more effectively master the teaching material, communicate with professors and their colleagues, and actively participate in classes.

One of the key moments of the meeting was the visit of Georgios Markou to the School for the Deaf. This school specializes in the education of deaf and hard of hearing students, and the participants of the meeting had the opportunity to learn about the ways in which this institution provides education and enables inclusion. The visit was extremely emotional and instructive, because it clearly showed how important it is to provide equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their specific needs. We learned about the methods that this school uses to enable students with disabilities to develop their abilities and achieve a high level of education and social integration.

This meeting in Cyprus was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge that will improve the work of all partners within the ERASMUS+ project HAWKING. The Faculty of Management Herceg Novi is looking forward to continuing cooperation with partners, and is dedicated with particular enthusiasm to the further implementation of new educational approaches and technologies that enable inclusion and equal opportunities for all students. Within this project, we will continue to strive to contribute to the creation of an educational system that is open and accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical or mental abilities.
