As part of the SmartTour Lab, on October 22, a lecture was held by Prof. Dr. Jovane Jovanović on the topic "Green construction and energy efficiency in tourism", dedicated to the application of the principles of sustainability in tourist facilities and the possibilities of improving their business through energy efficient solutions.

During the lectures, students had the opportunity to learn how hotels, apartments and tourist complexes can reduce energy consumption and business costs, while at the same time improving the quality of service and the experience of their guests. Special focus was on the principles of green construction, modern technologies and concrete solutions that contribute to a more sustainable development of the tourism sector.

Through practical analysis, the participants became familiar with ways of identifying problems and devising solutions that can be applied in real objects. The lecture showed that energy efficiency and sustainability are not just an additional cost, but an investment that can bring long-term benefits, including lower operating costs, more rational use of resources and greater value of tourist facilities.
