We are pleased to inform you about the results of the Art Competition "China as Inspiration" organized by the Confucius Classroom at the Faculty of Management in cooperation with the Confucius Institute (UCG). For the competition that lasted from 01.11. until 01.12.2021. 393 children's and young people's works were received in three categories: students from I to V grades of elementary schools, from VI to IX grades of elementary schools, and high school students, from almost all schools in the territories of the municipalities of Herceg Novi, Tivat and Kotor. The students could choose the topic of their works, and what was important was to associate them with China, its history, philosophy, cuisine, geography, with the aim of introducing the students to one of the oldest civilizations. As part of the Public Competition for co-financing of innovation activities in 2021, the Faculty of Management received support for the implementation of two innovation projects. The Marketing Challenge 2022 project is supported within the program line for encouraging innovative culture, while the Summer School: Information and Communication Technologies in the Function of Tourism Development project is supported within the program line for the implementation of educational programs in S3 areas. The Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Faculty of Management signed an agreement on scholarships for 14 talented young athletes from our city. The protocol was made official by the Dean Associate Professor Irena Petrušić and the Vice-President of the Municipality Mirko Mustur, in the presence of the Secretary for Social Activities and International Cooperation Vasilij Ćuković, Vice-Dean Dr. Nikša Grgurović and representatives of sports clubs. For the third year, the Municipality of Herceg Novi provides half of the scholarship to Novi athletes, and the other is donated by the Faculty of Management. We are pleased to inform you that the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro and the Faculty of Management from Herceg Novi are organizing free Chinese language courses again this year. The classes are taught by the renowned professor of the Chinese language, Mr. Yifeng Tian, ​​using the most modern methods of learning and acquiring foreign languages. Courses are organized at the Faculty of Management during the winter and summer semesters for a duration of three months. After passing the three-month course in the winter semester, as well as the three-month course in the summer semester, participants have the opportunity to take the national standardized tests of the Chinese language - HSK, which are evaluated in Beijing, by the Department of the Ministry of Education - Hanban, and are recognized as such not only in China, but all over the world. The European Commission has announced new calls under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), the flagship scheme for funding doctoral and postdoctoral education and training under the Horizon Europe programme.
