Outdoor classroom - a new learning experience at the Faculty of Management

The Herceg Novi Faculty of Management has successfully implemented one of the activities within the innovative ERASMUS+ project GROWTH, the goal of which was to improve the learning environment by implementing outdoor classrooms. This project allowed students to experience a new approach to teaching, where the idea is to hold lectures in a natural environment, which creates a dynamic and stimulating atmosphere. Through this project, students had the opportunity to participate in an educational process that is not only educational, but also ecologically strengthened, because contact with nature and active learning are promoted. The outdoor lecture space was designed to offer a comfortable environment that encourages creativity, interaction and teamwork among students. GEAR Project - Meeting at the Faculty of Education, UM

From January 27 to 30, 2025, the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor hosted the meeting of the international GEAR project (Gender Equality in Academia and Research - 101129408). This project gathers partners from ten countries, including: Montenegro (Adriatik University - Faculty of Management Herceg Novi, University of Montenegro, Socio-Economic Center of Montenegro), Lithuania (Vilnius University), Slovenia (University of Maribor), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Independent University of Banja Luka, University of Tuzla, Association of Young Women GirlThing), and Serbia (Institute for the Western Balkans, Singidunum University). During the meeting, various activities were organized, including a visit to the UM Career Center, where the partners had the opportunity to learn about student counseling practices. Also, workshops are planned aimed at monitoring students in study programs with lower gender representation, as well as mentoring female students with fewer opportunities. How does the Faculty of Management in Herceg Novi improve the accessibility of its website?

In today's digital age, the accessibility of websites becomes crucial so that all users, regardless of their abilities, can access information smoothly. The Faculty of Management in Herceg Novi (FM-HN) recognized this need and, through the Erasmus+ project HAWKING, implemented the Accessibility Menu by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner of the site https://www.fm-hn.com/, which allows users to adjust the display of the site according to their own needs. Advanced site customization options The Faculty of Management website was recently updated to improve accessibility and provide easier navigation for students with special needs. A new menu has been introduced with options that allow customization of content for all users. Among the features now available are "Screen Reader", which reads text that has been highlighted, as well as options to change the contrast. Three Erasmus + projects are successfully implemented at the Faculty of Management

Faculty of Management Herceg Novi is part of three Erasmus+ projects aimed at strengthening capacities in higher education: GEAR (gender equality), GROWTH (green empowerment in higher education of the Western Balkans) and HAWKING (digital transition and accessibility for people with disabilities). These projects, co-financed by the European Union, include workshops and trainings for students and teachers on the topics of gender equality, ecology and sustainable development. The faculty offers modernly equipped classrooms, a library, a computer room with the latest equipment, and all classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors. The teaching process is designed so that students acquire knowledge that they can apply in business practice, and the faculty maintains close cooperation with a large number of companies, which allows students to combine theory and practice. The campaign for enrollment in the next academic year begins in the second half of February, and students come from different parts of Montenegro, mostly from Herceg Novi and Boka. Students of the Faculty of Management from Herceg Novi won a silver medal at the 5th PMC Regional Marketing Challenge

Students of the Faculty of Management from Herceg Novi achieved exceptional success by winning second place at the prestigious 5th PMC Regional Marketing Challenge, held in Belgrade organized by the Faculty of Project and Innovation Management Professor Petar Jovanović. The competition brought together 25 teams from the region, and the task was to create an innovative marketing strategy for the Gold gondola company from Zlatibor. First place was won by a student from PMC, second place was won by colleagues from the College of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship PEP, and the award for the best public performance went to the team from Slovenia, from the Faculty of Economics and Informatics from Novi Mesto. A team of students from Herceg Novi, Elena Savić, Marija Mrvić, Bojana Mijanović, Igor Simović and Miodrag Jablan, decided to focus their project on attracting tourists from Asia, given the increasing interest this part of the world shows in the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Balkans. Training on gender equality within the Erasmus+ project GEAR

As part of the project Gender Equality in Academia and Research - 101129408 (GEAR), the Independent University of Banja Luka hosted a series of training sessions on the topic of gender equality on October 18, 2024. This event was supported through the Erasmus+ program and was held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to have both physical presence and online participation. On October 17, 2024, the Independent University of Banja Luka hosted a workshop within the project Gender Equality in Academia and Research - 101129408 (GEAR), financed through the Erasmus+ program. This workshop focused on gender balance in the academic and research environment. The workshop is organized in a combined format, allowing attendance both physically and through online platforms.
