BASIC COMPUTER COURSES

Information about the ECDL course (European Computer Driving License)

As an accredited international training and testing center, authorized by the ECDL (European Computer Driving License) foundation, the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi works dedicatedly on the (general) computer literacy of its students as well as citizens in general.

In this regard, we are pleased to inform you of the fact that the Faculty of Management in Herceg Novi, as of October 2, 2017. became an accredited center for training and computer work according to the ECDL system.

ECDL improves individual knowledge of information technologies, provides respectable computer skills, improves personal efficiency at work and in everyday life and provides an internationally recognized qualification for knowledge of computer skills representing a system of certification of knowledge in the field of IT, which is recognized by more than 160 countries of the world.

By applying ECDL, the teaching program of the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi includes software programs that are most often used in daily work according to the latest version of ECDL Syllabus 4.0.

In a modernly equipped, computerized classroom, participants are trained and tested by certified lecturers according to the ECDL program consisting of four modules:

To realize the course, it is necessary to form a group of at least 10 participants. Taking the module is scheduled at a time that suits the candidates, and after successfully passing the exam, the candidates receive an ECDL index and certificate.

The course includes 30 school hours, at a price of 120 euros for all 4 modules. Payment in several installments is possible.

Note: Students of the Faculty of Management who from the academic year 2017/2018 take and pass the exam in the subject Information Technology in Management with grades A (excellent), B (excellent) and C (good) have the right to apply for the ECDL index and certificate, given that the lectures and exercises are organized according to ECDL instructions and at a price of 60 euros.

Training objectives:

  • Training in the use of drawing processing programs.
  • Developing the ability to perceive space.

Get to know the program's graphic editor, drop-down menus, palettes with tools and their functions, the way to assign commands.

Get to know coordinate systems, ways of assigning points, define drawing boundaries and measurement units, get to know work in different modes of operation, precise selection of points.

  1. Drawing tools

Learns elementary commands: point, line, rectangle; gets to know the tools for drawing basic geometric shapes: circle, arc, ellipse, polygon; erase commands.

Get to know orthogonal and isometric view retrieval, model shading.

Get to know the tools for editing objects: the slice tool, tools from the solid editing palette; learns tools for body editing: move, copy, scale, rotate, 3D array, 3D mirror.

Get to know the application of regions, the region tool from the draw palette.

Get to know Boolean operations, tools from the solid editing palette, union, subtract, intersect.

  1. Complex geometric bodies-objects

Get to know the creation of complex geometric bodies using the extrude and revolve tools.

Get to know the tools for modifying 3D objects: chamfer, fillet.

  1. Adding lighting

Learn about adding lighting, learn about the render tool.

Graphic design in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Graphic design includes training in three graphic programs: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. The programs are part of the Adobe Creative Suite package, which represents a complete design solution for print preparation.
