The Center for Foreign Languages ​​at the Faculty of Management organizes:

  • general language courses (English, Russian, German, Italian, Norwegian and Montenegrin language for foreigners) i
  • specialized courses (general business English, business English in tourism, preparation for TOEFL and preparation for TestDaF).

 

The aim of the courses is for the participants to master the elements of the structure of a foreign language and to develop the communicative abilities necessary for successful navigation in various life and business situations.

Foreign language courses include the following curricula:

  • Vocabulary: the adoption of the most frequent general lexicon and common collocations, as well as a certain number of professional terms from the field of the students' own choice, is foreseen;
  • Grammar: grammatical structures are learned and repeated and established through a large number of examples and texts;
  • Skills: participants practice receptive and productive skills through the course program - reading and listening to authentic interviews and texts, using written and spoken language with different levels of formality and situations.

The teaching staff who conduct the theoretical-practical course teaching are graduate professors with many years of experience in the teaching process.

Courses are taught in modern classrooms equipped with audio-video equipment necessary for successful maintenance and delivery of classes.

The exam, after each level of the course, is written and oral. The written exam consists of 12 to 15 exercises. The exam is considered passed if the candidate does the text correctly in the range of 60% to 100% of the total number of points and exercises. After passing the written part of the exam, participants take an oral exam consisting of three questions for each participant:

  1. Reading and translation of a specific text;
  2. Grammar question;
  3. Short conversation.

Classes are held as part of group classes for:

  • larger groups of 8 to 10 participants i
  • smaller groups of 4 to 5 participants.

After successfully passing the exam, participants are issued a certificate from the Center for Foreign Languages ​​that they have successfully mastered a certain level of a foreign language.
