LEARNING OUTCOMES AT POSTGRADUATE ACADEMIC STUDIES - BUSINESS MANAGEMENT STUDY PROGRAM
Following contemporary trends in the aforementioned field, the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi harmonized and innovated the curriculum and program of postgraduate studies in the Master's study program Business Management, where the special focus is on learning outcomes.
The main goals of the postgraduate study program "Business Management", which is the subject of this accreditation, are:
- to innovate the contents of the current study programs of the Faculty of Management Herceg Novi in the domain of the mentioned field through continuous study in areas that are important for management in the corporate and public sector;
- provide adequate know-how and increase the competitiveness of the management of Montenegrin personnel in international companies at the level of middle and top management.
Upon completion of this study program, the holder of the Master of Business Management qualification will be able to:
- analyzes the latest scientific achievements in the field of management;
- describes and differentiates the main theories, principles, concepts and issues related to the business management process;
- integrates knowledge from the areas studied, namely: project management, international management, tourist destination management, public sector economic management, leadership, change management, human resource management, knowledge management, etc.
- argues the scientific-research work necessary for further advancement in science in the direction of obtaining the diploma of Doctor of Science;
- argues the elements of vital importance for management in different sectors of management;
- critically compares the problems and interconnection of different areas of management;
- uses the principles of market business and entrepreneurship at a higher organizational level;
- makes complex analyzes of the economic profitability of the management of production and service processes;
- analyzes the effects of the proposed measures in the field of management of production and service processes;
- performs an economic analysis of the success of management in production and service companies;
- performs complex statistical analyzes in order to increase the profitability of companies;
- leads scientific-research projects in order to test innovative solutions in the field of management;
When it comes to skills at the VII level of qualifications, they coincide with the National Framework of Qualifications, i.e. the master of business management will be able to:
- use and master a wide range of skills, techniques, practices and materials related to the subjects provided for in the curriculum, including those that are specialized and represent the latest trends in the given field;
- applies a range of standards and specialized research or equivalent means and techniques in research;
- identifies problems based on research, using the latest knowledge or practices from its own or international fields of business management;
- formulates complex questions in decision-making processes in situations where complete or consistent data do not exist;
- describes and analyzes the results and methods of projects to professional audiences and laymen through the use of appropriate techniques;
- analyzes the problem-solving skills needed for research and innovation, in order to create new knowledge and procedures.
When it comes to the competencies for this study program of postgraduate academic studies, the graduated student:
- shows originality and creativity in the application of knowledge, skills, practices during work;
- possesses significant autonomy and initiative in managing management activities;
- introduces innovations in complex and unfamiliar work and teaching contexts;
- analyze, classify and solve problems in the absence of complete and relevant information;
- assumes responsibility for his own work, as well as a significant part of the responsibility of others;
- evaluates the team's performance and has the skills needed to manage economic projects;
- integrates the ability to innovate and the ability to reasonedly solve problems;
- demonstrates leadership skills and takes initiative;
- works in complex ethical and social circumstances and makes decisions regarding issues for which there are currently no regulations or guidelines;
- manages complex and unpredictable working conditions, which requires new strategic approaches;
- communicates competently with colleagues of his or her higher scientific title;
- assumes responsibility for contributing professional knowledge and practices and for reviewing the team's strategic work.
