Students from Herceg Novi won a special award for motivation
The Faculty of Project and Innovation Management PMC from Belgrade organized an online Marketing Challenge with students from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the topic of branding Montenegro.
We need motivation at all times and especially now during Covid 19. This was demonstrated in the best way by undergraduate students from the Faculty of Management, the Challengers team, which won a special award for motivation out of a total of 33 teams from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
"According to the definition of the American Marketing Association, "a brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, design, or a combination of the above, which identifies the goods or services of one seller/group of sellers and differentiates them from competitors. Branding is extremely important when it comes to tourism. Consumers, i.e. users of services, choose a certain brand only when the image created by the brand matches their needs, values and lifestyle. A well-built brand builds loyalty, and thus significantly reduces the risk that is present when buying a service that is characterized by intangibility. The modern environment has caused the need to consider the brand on a completely new level - the level of the country. Montenegro really has a lot to show tourists, and we showed part of our idea at this competition," said Milica Stefanović, team captain.
Her colleague Luka Stevović added how important motivation is:
"Motivation is often elusive, it comes and goes, but studies and learning require constant motivation and persistence." What distinguishes the best students is that they study and when they have a bad day, if they lack the motivation to prepare for a challenge, they will create it themselves. And we created it together with our dean Irena Petrušić, Ph.D., and Nikša Grgurević, Ph.D., vice dean for education," said Stevović.

Marketing Challenge 2019
On 08.06.2019. In 2008, the second "Marketing Challenge" - a competition for students - was held at the Faculty of Management.
"Marketing Challenge" offers participants a unique experience to create a marketing campaign for a product or service of their choice, that is, for a brand that is new to the Montenegrin market.
The best were decided by a committee composed of: Luka Uskoković, Ph.D. - president, faculty dean Irena Petrušić, Ph.D., and Duško Milanović, M.Sc.
The presentations were of high quality, but the disadvantage is that you did not touch the true essence of marketing, that is, the marketing mix, but you had a general approach. Shades are something that decided between the first and second place, pointed out Dr. Uskoković.
Second-year students of the Faculty of Management Ana Dajević, Nikola Sredanović and Srđan Škero and Ivana Mikić, a student of specialist studies at this faculty, are the winners of the II Marketing challenge, they presented the Institute "Dr. Simo Milošević" as the brand of Herceg Novi, and as the best in the competition, they won the prize - 10% lower tuition fees.
We congratulate all participants and wish them success in their further studies!

Applications are open for Marketing Challenge 2019
Another, traditional marketing challenge 2019, of the Faculty of Management! This year, we are focusing on the branding of the destination, namely Herceg Novi.
We expect you to come up with a brand concept, a presentation of all the positive attributes of the Herceg Novi brand destination. What are the unique associations and attractiveness, that is, concrete benefits that tourists achieve after staying in Herceg Novi, and which tie them to this brand?
Do you like the image of the Herceg Novi brand, is it sufficiently recognized and developed? What should be the role of the local tourist organization?
Choose a topic from the aspect of one of the types of tourism. How do you understand the Herceg Novi brand by focusing on health tourism (Institute Dr. Simo Milošević), whether to additionally brand it with events (Mimosa Festival), whether the orientation should be elite, yachting tourism (Porto Novi, Kumbor), cultural-historical tourism or are you still closer to the concept of rural-agro tourism.
Team applications are ongoing, the competition lasts until April 10, 2019.
